Why a clear invoice matters
An invoice is more than a bill. It is a record that shows what you sold, what it cost and when payment is due. A clear invoice helps your client pay on time, and it helps you when you do your accounts at the end of the month or year. Freelancers, shops, agencies and small companies all need one for almost every sale.
This tool gives you a neat layout with your logo, your details and a simple table of items. You fill in the form, and the invoice updates on the right as you type.
How to make an invoice
- Choose the document type: Invoice, Quotation, Receipt or Proforma Invoice.
- Write your business name and details. Add your logo if you have one.
- Write your client's name and contact details.
- Set the number, date and due date.
- Add each item with a description, quantity and unit price. Use "Add item" for more lines.
- Choose the currency, and add tax and discount percentages if they apply.
- Add notes and payment details, then press "Print or save as PDF".
What every invoice should show
- The word "Invoice" and a unique invoice number, so each one can be found later.
- Your business name, address and contact details.
- Your client's name and address.
- The date of issue and the due date.
- A clear list of items or services, with quantity, price and the amount for each line.
- Tax and discount, if any, and the final total in the right currency.
- How the client can pay you, such as your bank account details.
Tax rules are different in every country. Ask your accountant which tax number and wording your invoices need. This tool only does the arithmetic and layout.
Invoice, quotation, receipt or proforma?
- Quotation: a price offer sent before the work starts.
- Proforma invoice: a preliminary bill, often used in trade or for advance payment.
- Invoice: the request for payment after the sale or service.
- Receipt: proof that you have received the money.
Good habits for getting paid
- Send the invoice on the same day the work is finished.
- Give a clear due date, such as 7 or 14 days.
- Number your invoices in order, for example INV-001, INV-002.
- Keep a copy of every invoice in a folder by month.
- Follow up politely on the due date with a short message.
Private by design
The invoice is made inside your browser. We do not receive your client names, prices or bank details. If you tick "Remember my business details", they are saved only in your own browser on this device, and you can untick the box to remove them. Use "Start again" to clear the form. To keep a copy, print the page and choose "Save as PDF".

Is this invoice generator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and has no limit on the number of invoices.
Do you store my invoice data?
No. Everything stays in your browser. We never receive the details you type.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Press "Print or save as PDF". In the print window, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and save the file.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Choose an image file. It is resized in your browser and shown at the top of the invoice.
Which currencies can I use?
PKR, USD, IDR, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, MYR, SGD and INR. Amounts are formatted for the currency you choose.
Can I add tax and discount?
Yes. Enter a percentage for each. The discount is taken from the subtotal first, then tax is added to the reduced amount.
Is this invoice valid for tax purposes?
The tool makes a clear layout and does the arithmetic. Your country may need a tax number or special wording. Please check with your accountant.
Does the invoice have a watermark?
There is only a small line at the bottom naming the free tool. You can switch it off with the checkbox in the form.
