Test the QR code with your phone camera before you print it.
What this tool does
WhatsApp is how many customers prefer to talk to a business. This tool makes it easy for them. It builds a click-to-chat link from your number, and it can add a ready message, so the customer only has to press send. Then it turns the link into a QR code that you can download and use anywhere.
How to make your WhatsApp link
- Type your number with the country code, for example 923364444999. Do not add a plus sign or spaces.
- Add a ready message if you want one, such as "Hello, I would like a quote for a website".
- Copy the link and use it on your website buttons, social media bios, emails and ads.
- Press "Open link" to test that the chat opens with your number.
How to use the QR code
- Print: shop windows, menus, flyers, business cards, invoices and packaging.
- Screen: videos, slides, event screens and your website.
- Size: keep it at least 2 cm (about 1 inch) wide when printed, and leave an empty border around it.
- Test: always scan it with a phone before you print many copies.
Tips for better results
- Keep the ready message short and friendly. Say what the person wants, for example the product or service name.
- Use dark dots on a light background. Light dots on a dark background can fail on some phones.
- For big printing, download the SVG file so the code stays sharp.
- Do not stretch the QR code. Keep it square.
- Add a short line next to the code, such as "Scan to chat with us on WhatsApp".
Using a QR code for any link
You can also make a QR code for your website, your Google Maps location, a menu page or a plain text note. Switch the type to "Any link or text" and enter the address. The same download options work.
Be careful with permission
Use WhatsApp links to let people contact you, not to send messages to people who did not ask for them. Follow the WhatsApp rules and the laws in your country about messages and privacy.
Frequently asked questions
What is a WhatsApp link?
A WhatsApp link is a web address that opens a chat with your number when someone taps it. It looks like https://wa.me/ followed by your phone number. You can also add a ready message that fills the chat box.
How do I write my number in the link?
Use the full number with the country code, and no plus sign, spaces, dashes or leading zeros. For example, a Pakistan number 0336 4444999 becomes 923364444999.
Does the person need to save my number first?
No. The link opens a chat directly, even if your number is not saved in their phone.
Can I put a ready message in the link?
Yes. Type the message in the tool and it is added to the link. The customer can still change it before sending.
What can I use the QR code for?
You can print it on a shop window, menu, flyer, business card or invoice, or show it on a screen. When a person scans it with the phone camera, WhatsApp opens a chat with you.
Which file should I download, PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for websites, social media and documents. Use SVG when you print on large items such as banners, because SVG stays sharp at any size.
Can I make a QR code for any link or text?
Yes. Switch the type to "Any link or text" and the tool makes a QR code for your website, a Google Maps link, a menu page or plain text.
Is my data saved?
No. The link and the QR code are made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.
